Tim has been involved in the forest industry and timber management for over 40 years. He grew up on the family Century Farm in N.E. Wisconsin, which was homesteaded by his great-grandfather in 1883. Tim and his two brothers currently own the farm, and have it in agriculture and timber production.
Tim graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Agriculture-Agronomy. He worked for Outagamie County for 30 years. Tim and his wife Michelle own a Wood-Mizer LT-40 super hydraulic portable sawmill and are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and passion with woodlot owners to help utilize their valuable timber.
Tim has also completed Safety and Woods Worker training and Level 2 with Forest Safety Instructions.
The many years that Tim has spent in the woods have given him an understanding and a connection that adds to the process that the big box stores cannot offer.

Tim has been growing apple trees for many decades. He is trying to prolong the life of one wild apple tree specifically that grows on the farm he grew up on, referred to by his family as the "magic apple tree". Tim has taken grafts from this tree in the past 10 years, and currently has 30 trees from the branches of the mother magic apple tree. His 94 year old mom makes between 65-95 pies from these apples every year.
